Wanna know what i was wasting my time on last holidays? It was on a new game release by Bethesda Softworks, trust me for those of you hardcore rpg gamers who would preper a lil shoot-em-up to spice things up a little, this is the game for you.

The above practically says it all, in this post I'll basically be yappin a little about Fallout 3 and nothing else, yes you heard me only about fallout 3.

This post would be more suited for audiences with at least a minimal amount of ‘pc gaming’ interest, for all others who absolutely think gaming is a bore and a waste of time you might want to get a pillow ready just in case >.<

Basic summary to this game:

Fallout 3 takes place in a bombed-out, futuristic version of Washington DC, and in the game, the area is bleak but oddly serene. Crumbling overpasses loom overhead and optimistic 1950's-style billboards advertise their products with sunny catchphrases. It looks impressive, and you move around the wide-open wasteland with nary a loading time, though you will encounter loads when entering and exiting buildings or quick-jumping to areas you've already visited. Numerous set-piece landmarks are particularly ominous, such as a giant aircraft carrier that serves as a self-contained city, or the decrepit interiors of the National Air and Space Museum. But the small touches are just as terrific, such as explosions that produce mushroom-like clouds of flame and smoke, evoking the nuclear tragedy at the heart of Fallout 3's concept.

Thought I’d have some fun rambling about the life of my fallout 3 character through a first person context. (Borrowed this idea from one of the preview entries in gamespot.com)

Dear diary,
Living life on the capital wasteland is hard and tiring, food is scarce and stuff here are extremely expensive. After spending 4 months looking for dad through burnt rubble, traveling across the ruins of Washington D.C yelling ‘dad’’dad’’dad’ till the locals think I’m some nut job who isn’t old enough to look after himself ~

I’ve finally come to the conclusion that I need some time off to rest and recuperate, you know, like chill, hangout with the locals, get drunk at the local bar and take my dog out for a walk once in a while, but naawww, what do I get when I try to do something relaxing like take Dogmeat out for a peaceful and quiet walk?
I get giant scorpions, oversized mole rats, mutated bears, zombies, green monsters from who knows where, all sorts of mishaped creatures who apparently have nothing else to do but chase me all day long across the barren lands of nuked Washington D.C. Not that I mind all the attention they give me but it seems like the capital wasteland never seems to run out of creepy creatures to throw at me. You could be happily walking down the path, what’s left of it anyway, and next thing you know a group of local chums will decide they want your head for some lame contract, claiming someone else hired them to get rid of you, I mean what did I ever do to them?

I know, I know, I have had some rough times with the local people, did some things like stealing their food, killing their pets, blowing up their houses, smacking them on the head with a metal pipe just cuz I find the sound ‘that’ makes amusing, but come on that was yesterday. Today is a whole new day and grudges from past times should be forgotten... right?

Dear diary,
Well the end of the day I think all that is needed is for me to continue my search for long lost dad, he never did say goodbye before he left me all alone in that forsaken vault. Maybe then I’ll have someone who can really understand the hardships that life has brought and calm me down every time I go into a frenzied rage punching holes in everything around with my trusted mini machine gun. Though, sometimes I get this strange feeling like someone is purposefully making me do all this weird stuff just for the fun of it, and that this world is nothing but a game people can fiddle and play with…. Naah….. who am I joking….

Besides the fact that both Mel and me ended up writing this song,

the sole purpose of the whole thing was to serenade the person we care about

It's my first post, Yay~!

Good thing is.. it's my first post! and I'm rather contented with it. there, showed you Mel <-- she said my blog (before the upgrade) was La meh 'lame' Lolx urm... well that is about all i can think of for the yay stuff, Now for the not so yay..... stuff

My all time expendable Nokia flip phone was stolen, yea it sucks but it was partly due to my carelessness. Now that its gone it doesnt really feel that expendable anymore T_T what is worse is that the next day, which was yesterday my Kia, Karens (my mom's technically) got bumped in by my not so careful neighbour. thats the second time within 6 months my car, i mean.. my moms car got hit, that'll cost me another 'walk to school if I'm late' week

So, thus far things i have achieved which did not make my parents too proud:

-Screwed my china made PDA (less than 5 months old) RM700+

-Fried my PC (less than 3 months old) RM1000+ repairs

-Bumped my car in an accident (less than 4 months driving) RM9000+ in repairs

-Got my phone stolen (took me less than 3 months for that one) RM300 gone

-Car got bumped into... again (still uncertain)

-now my parents are wondering whether i can be entrusted with my own car, after all that the likely hood is.... RM 30000+ lost a brand new car

I think my eyes are starting to bleed after calculating my expenditures within this six months..

Hm.. thought I was supposed to feel better after letting go of some of my problems... but somehow this doesn't seem to feel any better... oh well >.<
